Cheviot Marsh

"Fibrehut Fusions is my own range of exclusive fibre blends designed to push the boundaries and explore the possibilities of combining fibres beyond the usual merino and silk mixes. I hope you discover some exciting fibres to inspire your next project!" - Gai (FibreHut)

CHEVIOT MARSH is a fusion of two versatile British favourite wools – 100% natural white Cheviot and 100% natural white Kent Romney!

  • Price per 100 grams (3.5oz)

The result is a really light and bouncy fibre which will produce a warm yarn that has a lofty and woolly hand. Cheviot Marsh is probably not the softest of our fusion fibres and you might not want it against a naked neck but it is perfect for hats, mitts, sweaters and other hard-wearing garments. There's not a lot of colour difference between the two components so it will dye well and evenly. Cheviot Marsh also has a lovely crimp so needle felters should also love this fusion but we suspect it may be harder to wet felt.

How much fibre will I need?

The weight chart below is a helpful guide but depends on garment size and tension. 100g of fibre will make 100g of yarn. Yardage will depend on how finely you spin.
