Dorset Sock

"Fibrehut Fusions is my own range of exclusive fibre blends designed to push the boundaries and explore the possibilities of combining fibres beyond the usual merino and silk mixes. I hope you discover some exciting fibres to inspire your next project!" - Gai (FibreHut)

DORSET SOCK is a fusion of natural white British Dorset Horn wool and Trilobal Nylon (strong & stretchy!)

  • Price per 100 grams (3.5oz)

Bouncy, crimpy and hard-wearing, Dorset Horn is, in it's own right, a good fibre to use for socks and being resistant to wet felting means you can wash your socks in the machine! (gentle wash only though!). Adding the nylon to this fusion turns it into what we think is the perfect fibre to create a great sock yarn. Both components of Dorset Sock take the dye incredibly well producing bright, clear colours for jazzy and fun yarn!

How much fibre will I need?

The weight chart below is a helpful guide but depends on garment size and tension. 100g of fibre will make 100g of yarn. Yardage will depend on how finely you spin.

*Device settings can affect the colours shown on screen. There could also be slight variations from batch to batch.
