Kiwi Linen is soft and light – the Corriedale has a little more “bite” than Merino and the Flax provides some texture and a cool, crisp hand perfect for creating a light summer yarn with good drape. It's not a difficult spin but we recommend you try it from the fold if you are having problems. Linen becomes softer the more it is handled and washed so don't worry if it's a little tough at first. Flax will not take an acid dye but the creamy biscuit colour will have it's own impact on dyed yarn or fibre. Corriedale wet felts well but the Flax will wriggle around to enable a swirling texture and patterns in particular when nuno felting.

How much fibre will I need?

The weight chart below is a helpful guide but depends on garment size and tension. 100g of fibre will make 100g of yarn. Yardage will depend on how finely you spin.
