Terracotta dyed Merino
Dyed Merino combed top
Our dyed Merino range is commercially dyed with repeatable colours so that you can re-order the same colours again and again when you need to.
Merino is by far the most popular choice for hand spinning, felting and many other craft uses! Ours is 100% 23mic 64's MERINO combed wool top from South Africa (Cape) or South America depending on availability and is from guaranteed to be from non-mulsed sheep. Of course you can dye Merino but these are already dyed. You could for instance over dye many of the lighter colours if you wanted to.
- Staple lengths: mm
- Fibre diameter: 23 microns
- Country of origin: South Africa or South America
- Lots of other colours in stock
How much fibre will I need?
This will depend on how finely you spin plus the size and tension of the final knitted garment. The weights below are a helpful guide but cannot be guaranteed. If you are unsure, always buy a little bit more than you think you'll need (that's what stashes are for!)
This item is 100% natural wool. Every year sheep produce a new fleece, making wool a renewable fibre source. FibreHut are official supporters of the campaign for wool.
