SHOP & STAY DAY at FibreHut

Thanks to all of those who attended our SHOP & STAY A WHILE DAY on Saturday 15th August in the Cadbury Courtyard at Blackminster business park near Evesham!

Despite the threat of rain it stayed fine all day! Lots of people turned up (new faces and old friends!) for Gai's weaving demonstration, to join in at Keeley's needle felting table and to to sit and spin on their own spinning wheels.

The fibrehut shop was open for some much needed retail therapy (social distancing rules applied). There was lots of rummaging in our popular top ends and scraps bin which was freshly stocked and brimming with gorgeous mixed fibre. There was lots of gorgeous merino colours available pick-n-mix style and guests enjoyed pulling off and mixing up lengths as needed. Every fibrehut customer was treated to a FREE tea or coffee voucher to redeem in the charming Potted Pantry Country Cafe. The cafe was very busy all day serving tasty lunches, savouries and snacks to tables inside and outside and in the Cadbury Courtyard (social distancing applied)

If you couldn't make this event - make sure that you visit our next one!

"I had a couple of looms loaded up - one with the Bronson check table runner which is a very popular Ashford pdf download and is a great introduction to using 8/2 cotton. I also showed how to take some of the mystery out of using pick up sticks on a rigid heddle loom. On another loom I was using colour and weave to show how different patterns can be made with the same warp - guests enjoyed watching the magic happen! "

Keeley from Church Mouse Makes was on hand to give lots of needle felting tips...

Dave was around to service and oil Ashford spinning wheels...

Stay safe!
