Bamboo Scarf
Bamboo Scarf
I was gifted some beautiful gold hand dyed bamboo fingering weight yarn and I knew I wanted to use it in the warp for a scarf.
I chose a simple 4 shaft 2/2 broken twill pattern from the Handweavers Pattern Book by Anne Dixon using a pale and interesting pink sock yarn as the weft and the gold bamboo every third pink for a subtle striping effect. I purposefully left the fringe long and un-twisted to highlight the shimmer of the golden bamboo. This was a very simple, but very effective and totally satisfying little weave.
Measurements
10.5" wide and 56" long (excluding the fringe) so not enough to loop but very classy worn open.
