This all day workshop is a wonderful way to get a taste of different fibre crafts including spinning, dyeing & weaving!

We cover a lot in this all day workshop which will be a mix of informative demonstrations and hands on tuition that will give you a taste of different fibre crafts. Maybe you'll discover a new lifelong hobby! There will be one tutor plus an assistant and a maximum of 6 people in the workshop.

You'll learn to spin your own yarn on a drop spindle and see how a spinning wheel is used and have a go if you wish. Learn about the characteristics of different fibres and how they can be used to produce different yarn. You'll get creative dyeing wool fibre using simple home equipment. You will also be introduced to weaving on a rigid heddle loom and what that means, finally spending time weaving your very own mug rug (or two) which you can take home.

Venue...

Held at our premises at The Cadbury Courtyard, Blackminster Business Park WR11 7RE. On very sunny days we will sit out in the courtyard. On site facilities include Newtons Bakery Cafe, Fast Track Snack Bar, free parking, toilets plus there are other shops & businesses.
