"I used this 100% cotton yarn for two different tea towel sets (see my photos). The first is Tuscan Twill and the other Teatime black & white tea towels - both from The Jane Stafford School of Weaving. I was extremely happy with the quality of this yarn - even more so as it worked out to about half the price of similar Venne cotton"

About wraps per inch & setts...

The wpi and epi numbers above are approximate and a guide to help you only. There really is no substitute for doing your own sampling to achieve the fabric you want.

What do yarn weight numbers mean?

In simple terms, the lower the first number, the thicker one ply of yarn is. The second number denotes how many plies the yarn has. So a 10/2 yarn and a 3/2 yarn both have 2 plies, but the 3/2 yarn is much thicker than the 10/2 yarn.

Useful weaving calculators...

There are lots of weaving calculators on the internet including these from Janet Dawson which including a weaving project calculator, denting, reed substitution & average sett.
