This wonderful complete spinners kit comes with a drop spindle, a selection of wool and instructions to get you started!

A great choice whether you're just starting out or already an experienced spinner - no expensive spinning wheel required. The wooden drop spindle is spun to add twist to the wool fibres which are then drafted and wound onto the shaft as a single ply yarn.

The drop spindle is just the right size for a beginner and weighs approx 38g. It has a top whorl of approx 54mm diameter and an overall length of 25cm. A wool leader is included which is used to attach the wool fibres to the spindle shaft. Our "How to spin with a drop spindle" instruction sheet is included.

The combed wool top is selected from the Best of British sheep breeds. You get 75g each of Welsh Mountain, Shetland, Wensleydale and Bluefaced Leicester. They are all 100% natural in 100% natural shades - no dyes are used. A fact sheet introduces you to the characteristics of each of the fibre.

Finally everything is kept neat, clean and cosy in a lovely drawstring organza style bag.
