The Norwegian is one of the oldest sheep breeds in the world. It is estimated that the first sheep came to Norway more than 6,000 years ago. Norway is a land with large grass resources and than 14,000 farms hold sheep many with fewer than 100 adult sheep.
Perfect for hand spinning, hand felting and many other craft uses. Suitable for combing, felting, hand knitting yarns and woven garments, where good resilience is required.
