- Price per 100 grams
This is 100% natural dark brown Zwartbles combed wool top. Zwartbles is a breed of sheep which originates from The Netherlands. It is a natural brown shade. The fleece is bulky with excellent crimp which makes it superb for felting. The fibre is 100-120mm long and a fineness of around 30-32 Microns. Staple lengths: 100 to 120 mm and fibre diameters: 30 to 32 microns
What can I use it for?
Use Zwartbles for all your spinning, felting and blending projects. A popular choice for spinning on the wheel or drop spindle. Great for wet felting and needle felting. There are also limitless possibilities for blending with other wool or fibres such as silks, flax, bamboo etc. Can be dyed but this natural shade is too dark to get good results.
How much fibre will I need?
This will depend on how finely you spin plus the size and tension of the final knitted garment. The weights below are a helpful guide but cannot be guaranteed. If you are unsure, always buy a little bit more than you think you'll need (that's what stashes are for!)

Natural & biodegradable
Wool is 100% natural. Every year sheep produce a new fleece making it a renewable fibre source. At the end of its useful life it can be returned to the soil where it will decompose.
